The seminar in social design and Child Rights Policy was held from 30 November to 2 December. Within the framework of the project "Teen in conflict with the law: from conflict to inclusion", it is planned to introduce a method of social design for the children of the project who have already overcome their experience of conflict with the law and are ready to realize their potential in the social sphere.
At a seminar for specialists, we analyzed social projects. Experienced project specialists, who have already achieved certain results in the implementation of social design technology, presented their experience. Analysis of the work of these social projects made it possible to identify problem areas of implementation.
To develop ideas for solving emerging problem fields, a session was planned for developing potential projects and solving specific problems within the framework of the seminar. The specialists determined the expected results, determined the measures for solving the assigned tasks - planning, coordination of actions; determination of those responsible - distribution of responsibilities; implementation of the event - work according to planning, timely introduction of additions; check (change of strategy) - an assessment of the effectiveness at each stage to determine the dynamics.
Also in the afternoon, issues related to the implementation of the Child Rights Protection Policy in educational institutions were discussed. The Child Rights Protection Policy is a document, upon adoption of which institutions commit themselves to the observance of the rights of the child and introduce certain rules of conduct that apply to both children and adults. Participants received practical guidance on how to write and implement personalized Child Rights Protection Policies based on an enforcement approach.
On the third day of the seminar, specialists conducted a SWOT-analysis of drafts of the Policy for the Protection of the Rights of the Child in Institutions: they identified the strengths and weaknesses of these documents, as well as the opportunities and threats. Also, the project specialists in groups have developed a preamble for future documents on the protection of the rights of the child.
The activity corresponds to the project implementation plan, since the profile program of the second year of implementation involves the involvement of adolescents in socially significant activities: first, development, and then implementation. In addition, the project will help institutions develop personalized Child Rights Protection Policies. It also contributes to the achievement of the goals of the project, since the goal of the development of the project is to provide guarantees for adolescents in contact and conflict with the law, for their successful resocialization by means of realizing their rights specified in the main international documents on the rights of the child.
