Training event for the project participants "Technologies for working with children in conflict with the law (social design)"

From 26 to 28 May, on the eve of International Children's Day, a training event was held for professionals working with children in conflict with the law, as well as teenagers participating in the project.

Within the framework of the second year of project implementation, the task of the project is to train specialists in social design. Social projection is understood as the independent activity of adolescents, aimed at a practical solution to a socially significant problem. It is assumed that children who have already managed to overcome their criminal behavior will be able to implement mini-projects on the issues of interest to them: from advocating for environmental protection to campaigning against smoking.

The project specialists studied the basics of conducting and managing social projects, as well as developing ideas and constructing project designs. In addition, they learned to work with self-esteem to shape sustainable social behavior and develop leadership in teenage teams. Trainings for adolescents were aimed at developing social project design skills. An important aspect of project design is finding and focusing on issues that will resonate with adolescents who face certain difficulties. The children worked on the idea and developed projects that they plan to implement in their communities with the support of teachers and WWB. The final day of the event was dedicated to developing skills of publicizing social initiatives through producing video content. The teenagers gained knowledge about the rules of scripting, filming and editing video.

The training event contributes to improving the professional competencies of specialists, as well as improving the quality of preventive and reintegration assistance to adolescents in conflict with the law.
